Two men seriously injured in A52 crash
Nottingham TravelwiseA man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious crash on the A52 in Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Police said the A52 was closed in both directions between the A6011 in Gamston and the A46 in Saxondale, after it was called to reports of a crash at about 05:00 BST on Friday, which Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said involved a car and van.
The force said a 30-year-old man suffered injuries believed to be life-threatening, while a 67-year-old man was also seriously injured.
Police have issued no other details about the injured men.
The force said the crash happened on a stretch of road between Saxondale Island and Oatfield Lane.
No arrests have yet been made.
A spokesperson for the fire service advised people to plan their routes accordingly, and said: "The public are asked to avoid the area whilst the emergency services do their work."
Nottingham TravelwiseNottingham City Transport said there were "severe delays" to the Green 11 and Pathfinder 90 bus services as traffic was diverting through Cotgrave.
The bus operator added no stops along the A52 could be served between Bingham and Radcliffe-on-Trent.
