Man in critical condition after house fire

A man is in a "critical condition" after he was rescued from a house fire in Worcestershire.

The blaze happened at Mill Street, Evesham at about 16:30 BST on Wednesday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man, in his 60s, had been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham after receiving treatment at the scene.

West Mercia Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
