Man killed in two-vehicle crash

James Bingham, 50, was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lisburn on Tuesday

A 50-year-old man has died following a collision in Lisburn on Tuesday.

The crash, reported to police at about 05:45 BST, involved a Citroen van and Mini on the Belfast Road.

The driver of the Mini, James Bingham, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, required treatment for his injuries but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The Belfast Road, which was closed in both directions for a time, has now fully reopened.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the collision or who has dash-cam footage of what happened to contact them.
