Two seriously hurt in five-vehicle crash

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the crash

Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving five vehicles.

The emergency services were called to Sycamore Avenue in the Dogsthorpe area of Peterborough at about 17:20 BST on Sunday.

One of the injured was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, while the other was taken to Peterborough City Hospital, according to a police spokesperson.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
