Man suffers serious injuries in crash on A38

Part of a major road has been closed following a crash involving three vehicles, police have said.

Emergency services were called to the Plymouth-bound lanes of the A38 between Buckfastleigh and Dean at about 09:35 BST, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

A road closure was put in place on the carriageway and one man was believed to have suffered serious injuries, police said.

National Highways said on X the A38 was expected to be closed into the afternoon with delays of 15 minutes and a diversion put in place. Anyone with information about the crash has been asked to contact police.
