Flash flood forces road closure after heavy rain

A road has been closed after heavy rainfall caused flash flooding in an area of Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Fire Service were called to Spring Road, Ettingshall, just before 07:30 BST on Saturday to assist with tackling the problem.

City of Wolverhampton Council said the road would stay closed until safety checks were completed and it was safe to reopen.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and follow diversion signs.
