Signal failure fixed after widespread disruption
Getty ImagesA signalling fault in south-east London blocked all lines through Denmark Hill, causing widespread disruption across parts of the London transport network on Monday morning.
Although Network Rail had warned trains would be cancelled or revised, with major disruption expected to last until around 16:00 BST, only five trains were cancelled between 16:00 and 17:00.
The fault affected Thameslink, London Overground and Southeastern rail services.
Network Rail said it had resolved the issue, which was believed to have been caused by a power supply problem, by 16:33.
