Man suffers serious injuries in car park stabbing

A man has been arrested following the attack

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in the back in a car park.

The victim, aged in his 20s and from Gloucester, was standing with a group on Regent Street in Cheltenham before being approached by a man who chased him to the car park at about 06:00 BST, police said.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the victim sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in police custody. Officers have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
