Works involve replacing damaged concrete slabs at the skate park

Work has begun as part of the final phase of storm repair works to Teignmouth Promenade in Devon.

Teignbridge District Council said works would involve replacing damaged concrete slabs at the skate park and the horseshoe area near to the ice cream hut, which were affected during recent storms.

The council said a section of the promenade adjacent to the works would be closed and a small site compound would be set up near the lighthouse, outside the car parking area but within the promenade.

Once mobilisation and tidying works at the skate park are complete, the council said similar closures would be placed around the horseshoe area.

It added: "We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation while these essential repairs are carried out."
