Railway lines blocked after points failure

Railway services were disrupted after a points failure, resulting in bus replacement services, delays and cancellations.

Greater Anglia said the fault at Thetford in Norfolk blocked the line to Wymondham.

The operator put a replacement bus service in place between Wymondham and Thetford, taking about 40 minutes. Normal services on this route has now resumed.

A replacement bus service between Thetford and Cambridge North, via Brandon and Ely, remains in place due to planned engineering work.
