Van hits railway bridge a day after tractor strike
BBCA van became wedged under a railway bridge just a day after a similar crash involving a tractor.
The crossing in Bridge Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire, was once dubbed the "most bashed" in Britain by Network Rail after 18 incidents were recorded in 2023-24.
Greater Anglia said the incident happened at 15:52 BST on Tuesday, causing minor delays. On Monday, a tractor's roof was partially ripped off after it became stuck under the bridge.
"Once checked for safe running, our train services returned to normal within 40 minutes and there is no ongoing disruption," a Greater Anglia spokesperson added.
