Cooling off in Bowes, County Durham

Temperatures are starting to rise with more people getting outdoors to enjoy the weather.

Flowers are in full bloom, lambs are frolicking in the fields and the sun has been warming us all up.

As ever, our Weather Watchers have been out capturing lovely scenes across north-east England and Cumbria as we welcome May.
