Police wish to speak to the man pictured in relation to a sexual assault in Barnsley

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a reported sexual assault in Barnsley.

According to South Yorkshire Police, a woman was assaulted by a man in Eldon Street at about 22:40 BST on 11 October, with the suspect leaving the area in a taxi at about 23:15 BST.

Officers said several inquiries had been conducted since the report but they were now asking the public for help in tracing the man pictured as they believe he may hold vital information.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police.
