Three injured after BMW crashes into bowling alley

Three people have been injured after a BMW crashed through the wall of a bowling alley in Derbyshire.

Emergency services were called to reports of the crash, in Derby Road, Ilkeston, shortly before 17:00 BST on Friday.

Derbyshire Police said the crash involved two cars, one of which went through the side of MFA Bowl.

The force added that three people were treated for minor injuries, and the driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and taken to hospital.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said "multiple crews" attended to assist police.

The service assessed structural damage to the building after the vehicle left a hole in the wall of the bowling alley.

Derby Road was closed for five hours before being reopened.
