Men charged with attempted murder over shooting

Two men have have appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a shooting.

Wiltshire Police said officers were called to St Paul's Street in Gorse Hill, Swindon, at about 21:00 BST on Friday where they found a man in his 30s with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable but critical condition, police said.

Dylan Anthony, 19, and Kyron Anthony, 20, both of Milton Road, Swindon, have both been charged with attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Following an appearance at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, they were both remanded in custody and are next due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on 24 July.

Six people arrested in relation to the incident have been released on bail pending further investigation, police added.
