A man has died in hospital after getting into difficulty at a reservoir in Dundee.

Helicopters, ambulances and two fire engines were involved in a rescue attempt at Clatto Reservoir at about 18:40 on Saturday.

Police Scotland said the man was recovered from the water at Clatto country park then taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he died later.

A force spokesperson added: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
