UK govment don announce new rules wey fit make some universities lose dia right to employ international students, if too many of dia students dey drop out or no follow visa rules.

UK Home Office for new reforms dem unveil on Thursday, introduce harder sponsorship requirements for higher education institutions.

Under di new plan, authorities outline fresh sponsorship guidelines wey go punish higher institutions wey no employ students properly.

  • Visa refusal rate: must remain below 5% (previously 10%)
  • Course enrolment rate: must reach at least 95% (previously 90%). E mean say Universities must also maintain a minimum enrolment rate of 95 per cent, compared to di previous requirement of 90 per cent.
  • Course completion rate: must reach at least 90% (previously 85%) - Dis one mean say institutions must now ensure say at least 90% of dia international students successfully complete dia courses. E go up from di previous threshold of 85%.
