Southend's comprehensive 3-1 victory at bottom side Solihull put them top of the National League.
The visitors had to come from behind for the win, Jacob Wakeling putting Solihull in front after 14 minutes as they sought out their first points of the season.
They were unable to hold their lead until half-time. Oli Coker levelled in the 28th minute before Josh Popoola continued his fine start since joining from Maidenhead with a goal to make it 2-1 to Southend at the break.
That was the way it stayed until stoppage time when Charley Kendall put the result beyond doubt with a third to keep Southend top on goals scored ahead of Sutton.
