Scunthorpe equalised twice away against Eastleigh but eventually were beaten 3-2 as they were left still searching for their first win of the National League season.
Wimbledon loanee Harry Sidwell scored after 37 minutes to hand Eastleigh a lead they held until half-time before Alfie Beestin levelled shortly after the restart.
Aaron Blair restored the lead for the home side but still Scunthorpe were not finished, new signing James Gale scoring to seemingly rescue a point.
Minutes later, though, Josh Lundstram netted the winner to give Eastleigh a second win in their opening three games.
