West Bromwich Albion fought back from two goals down to beat former Baggies boss Tony Mowbray's in-form Blackburn Rovers.
Andri Gudjohnsen struck from close range to send the visitors ahead and found a second following a corner shortly after.
The hosts hit back through Barney Stewart, who scored his first league goal following a hectic start at The Hawthorns.
After the break, the Baggies levelled through Isaac Price's penalty when Jayson Molumby was brought down by Sean McLoughlin, and Felix Horn Myhre headed home to seal a well-earned three points.
The result ends Blackburn's four-game unbeaten run, during which they had won three times either side of the extended international break.
Albion have now won two on the spin, having previously gone three games without a win - including a demoralising showing in the Black Country derby defeat by Wolves in September.
It was a nightmare start for the Baggies with Gudjohnsen striking twice inside 12 minutes, the first of which came as he had the time to turn on to his right foot and drive home from outside the box.
Gudjohnsen was not done there, however, as Harry Pickering's corner rebounded into his path off Molumby, leaving him to rifle home from the edge of the penalty area for his sixth goal of the season.
Albion cut into that lead soon after in a frantic opening as Rabby Nzingoula made a run into the Blackburn penalty area, with Stewart prospering from that good work to fire home for a first EFL goal since his move from Falkirk.
An end-to-end second half followed, with Stewart almost finding a second following a sustained spell of pressure from the hosts while Price struck over the bar with a right-footed effort.
At the other end, Gudjohnsen almost brought up his hat-trick when he headed wide from Jayden Fevrier's delivery.
The Baggies, however, levelled as Molumby was brought down and Price duly netted from the spot with a 'Panenka-style' dinked penalty.
They were not done there, and their winner was an all-Norwegian affair as Aune Heggebo headed back at the far post to tee up Horn Myhre's decisive effort.
Pickering almost found a leveller in the final stages but struck wide of the mark as Rovers boss Mowbray endured a defeat on his return to The Hawthorns.
'We can't start games like that' - reaction
Morrison: 'We keep going until the end'
West Bromwich Albion boss James Morrison told BBC Radio WM:
"Credit to the lads but it wasn't good for 20 minutes, we can't start games like that. We thought we were just going to walk into it after Tuesday.
"We didn't do the basics, we took too many touches, we were too open and got punished.
"2-0 is a tough scoreline and the one thing I noticed is that we had time on our hands and it was important that we got a goal back early and we had to be patient and get to half-time.
"We had lots of chances, we could have scored four or five today. It's credit to the lads, the one strength we've got is we keep going to the end."
Mowbray: 'I think we deserved something'
Blackburn Rovers head coach Tony Mowbray told BBC Radio Lancashire:
"I think West Brom are a good team, as their position shows. I think they chased from 2-0 very well. I don't want to be the manager who moans about officials but the penalty is a really poor decision, I think it should have been a free-kick to us.
"Sean is adamant he never pushed the guy whatsoever but it doesn't matter in a game that we lost 3-2. It's a bit disappointing I suppose as they've worked so hard this week.
"It's a bit frustrating to get nothing from the game as I think we deserved something."
