Norwich City picked up their second home win of the Championship season by beating Birmingham City 2-1 at Carrow Road on Wednesday evening.

It stretches Blues' winless run to three games.

Here is what the supporters of both sides made of the match.

Norwich fans:

Andy: A hard-fought win, with lots of good chances created despite squad rotation ahead of the Middlesbrough and Manchester City matches.

Craig: Very scrappy performance, too many misplaced passes when not under pressure. Two good goals but not enough quality for automatic promotion. Jovon Makama had an instant impact and could lift this team into play-off contention. But to sustain a promotion push we need a midfield general who commands the ball, neither Kenny McLean or Pelle Mattson did that.

Patrick: Clement has us going in the right direction after some wasted years.

Giles: Norwich are starting to click, apparently we're 'managing minutes' with Jack Stacey coming in for Kellen Fisher. I'd always choose Fisher over Stacey but in Clement we trust.

Birmingham fans:

Chido: No attacking midfield. Square and back from Paik Seung-Ho and Tomoki Iwata. Norwich were very poor - two shots and two goals from defensive errors. We can't continue to not take our chances.

Steve: One league win so far. Chris Davies out, Eddie Howe in.

Bob: This league is hard enough without officials making mistakes that cost teams points. There should have been a sending off plus a goal which was clearly onside.

Alan Why does Chris Davies keep playing Tomoki Iwata and Paik Seung-Ho? We have needed creative midfield players for two seasons.

John: Birmingham believing their own hype. Norwich were well below par but still more decisive than Blues.

Norwich City moved up to ninth place in the Championship with a 2-1 win over Birmingham City on Wednesday evening.

The Canaries recorded their second home win of the season thanks to goals from Oscar Schwartau and Papa Diallo.

Norwich manager Philippe Clement told BBC Radio Norfolk:

"We wanted the roar and the crowd gave that to the team.

"It was a good interaction between all of us.

"We knew this was a tough game. Birmingham hadn't lost and had won the most head duels this season. They are very direct.

"We defended set pieces really well and had the best chances. We scored two really good goals and could have scored more.

"Their goalkeeper made really good saves in the second half. A well-deserved victory with a lot of positives."

Something has to give as Norwich City welcome Birmingham City to Carrow Road on Wednesday (19:45 BST).

The Canaries have won two and lost three of their opening five games to lie a point behind Blues, who are one of just two unbeaten teams in the Championship, along with leaders Swansea.

Chris Davies' men have drawn four of their five matches, though their only win came in their last away game at Wrexham.

• Norwich have lost each of their past three league games against Birmingham City, never before losing four in a row to them.

• After their 2-1 win in this exact fixture last season, Birmingham could win back-to-back league visits to Norwich for the very first time, with this their 35th trip.

• Norwich have won each of their past three home league games played in midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), last winning four in a row in December 2016.

• Birmingham have won just one of their past eight away league games (D3 L4), though it was a 2-1 victory at Wrexham in their last game on the road.

• Marvin Ducksch scored three goals in Birmingham's two Championship games against Norwich City last season, his most against any side in 2025-26.

Sheffield United have yet to lose in the Championship this season and will be hoping to keep up their momentum as they welcome a faltering Norwich City on Saturday (15:00 BST).

The Blades registered the first win of their campaign after beating Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday following a trio of draws.

Norwich though lost a third league match of the season against Stoke City, with just one win to their name so far.

• Sheffield United are unbeaten in five home league games against Norwich (W3 D2) since a 0-1 defeat in September 2017.

• Norwich's 2-1 win over Sheffield United in March ended a 10-game winless run against the Blades in league competition (D4 L6).

• Sheffield United remain unbeaten across their opening four league games of a campaign (W1 D3) for the second time in three seasons. Before then, the Blades hadn't completed that feat since 2012-13 in the third tier.

• Norwich have lost as many as three of their first four games of a league season outside of the Premier League for the first time since 2000-01 in the second tier (also 3).

• Norwich's Championship games this season have produced an xG of 13.9 (7.7 for, 6.2 against), the highest of any side.

Norwich City midfielder Amankwah Forson has joined Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva on a season-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old joined Norwich from Austrian club RB Salzburg on a four-year deal in 2024.

Forson, who has represented Ghana at international level, has made 44 appearances for the Canaries in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva - six-time Israeli champions - have reached the league phase of this season's Europa League and are set to face opponents including Juventus, AFC Bournemouth and Besiktas.

Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement was frustrated with the 1-0 defeat at Stoke, but said the performance promised better days ahead.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It's a crazy game to lose the three points.

"My team did a lot of things really well. I don't think I can ask more [in terms of] mentality and the will to win. You saw until the last dying seconds that the team went to win this game fully.

"We had also by far the most possession, by far the most chances. But the goalkeeper had an amazing day today, and a few blocks from them also. It's about working more on the ruthlessness.

"But to play an away game so dominantly, I think it's a really good step. If my team keeps on playing like this, we will take a lot of points this season."

Norwich City defender Jakov Medic has joined Eredivisie side FC Utrecht on a season-long loan deal.

Medic, 27, agreed a three-year contract with the Canaries when he moved to Carrow Road from another Dutch side, Ajax, last summer.

The centre-back made 18 appearances in all competitions for Norwich last season but has been allowed to leave by manager Philippe Clement and find first-team football elsewhere.

Utrecht, who finished sixth in the Netherlands' top tier last season, have the option to buy Medic next summer.

Norwich City boss Philippe Clement has stated the club will not sell striker Mohamed Toure regardless of the size of any offer that might come in.

The Australia international has been linked with multiple clubs this summer but Clement has been firm on his future at Carrow Road after the 22-year-old scored a double in an impressive 4-1 display against Burnley on Saturday.

"Maybe one player who is on the edge of things would go but they can only go if they are replaced, but not the names that have been in the papers the past couple of weeks," Clement told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"Mo Toure will not leave the club even when somebody comes with crazy money. Because then you would make things difficult, you cannot replace that."
