39 years since Sir Alex was appointed United manager. Don’t forget he was on the brink of getting sacked after four years of not much.

    Graham, Essex

  5. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

This could've easily been four or five for Chelsea today.

  6. CLOSE!

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

    It should be 3-0.

Valentin Barco arrives at the far post but he can't keep his effort down.

Lovely ball in from Malo Gusto, though.

  7. Is Carrick's time up at Man Utd?

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

A Halloween to forget for Michael Carrick.

  8. SUBSTITUTION

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Cole Palmer ends his game with a goal from the spot as he is replaced by Geovany Quenda for the final few minutes.

  9. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stamford Bridge

I think Estevao has been very good. Very dangerous down the right-hand-side, he has caused all sorts of problems for Manchester United.

  10. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

And the corner comes to absolutely nothing.

  11. 'Man United get in their own way'

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

    Joe Cole
Former Chelsea and England midfielder on TNT Sports

It's a club that for so many years has looked like it's getting in its own way.

Patience is required, which is difficult when a club like United has had so much success and has so many expectations.

  12. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Leny Yoro reads the ball into the box and knocks it behind for another Chelsea corner.

  13. 'Easier to replace manager than whole team'

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Stamford Bridge

It is easier to replace a manager than replace the whole team.

Unfortunately, when clubs do make the decision, generally it is the manager to go.

For me, this is not on Michael Carrick. It is a senior player being sent off, which is crazy.

  14. 'Absolutely perfect'

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

    Ally McCoist
Former Scotland striker on TNT Sports

That is difficult to take, he meets it absolutely perfect. What a strike from Bryan Mbeumo.

  15. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Josh Acheampong has the freedom of Stamford Bridge as he strides forward.

The ball finds Cole Palmer in the D but he sweeps his effort over the top. Poor.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORK

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

My word! What a hit that was from Bryan Mbeumo.

He hits it first time on the bounce and he's almost snapped the crossbar in half.

  17. Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Joshua Zirkzee does well to find a yard of space for an effort on goal but Levi Colwill sticks with him to make the block.

  18. INJURY TIME

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

We're into 10 minutes of added time.

    Don't think anyone expected that.

This United squad don’t have a gear to go up. This is their best. I’m not sure how many more games you’ve got to watch to realise that.

  20. YELLOW CARD

    Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United

Joshua Zirkzee picked up a yellow card before the triple change for Chelsea.
