Leicester midfielder Oliver Skipp was shown a straight red card in the first half
Former Premier League champions Leicester City were booed off at the King Power Stadium after a home defeat to Burton Albion.
Matthew Dennis and Kgaogelo Chauke put Burton 2-0 up and Oliver Skipp received a straight red card, before the 10-man hosts finally showed some fight.
Only five minutes had passed when a move involving the excellent Charlie Webster ended with Kyran Lofthouse slipping the ball through for Dennis to fire past Alex McCarthy.
And the City fans were in uproar 20 minutes later to see Chauke react first afer Lofthouse's shot was deflected into his path.
Skipp walked for a cynical foul on Curtis Tilt after 29 minutes, but Wes Burn's first strike since joining from Ipswich - converting at the far post from Will Alves' cross - prevented the atmosphere from turning truly mutinous.
Harry Souttar headed over the bar and substitute Tommy Watson went close as City tried to mount a comeback.
But Albion's defensive grit helped them overcome late pressure to claim a memorable victory.
