AFC Wimbledon and Reading ground out a stalemate at Plough Lane in a game of few chances.
In the first real attack of the contest, Jack Marriott forced keeper Joe McDonnell to palm away his shot across the face of goal after 14 minutes.
The visitors looked more potent up front, although without really creating a clear-cut opportunity.
Reading almost opened the scoring five minutes after the restart when Josh Stokes saw close-range efforts blocked by McDonnell, and Dan Sweeney denied Kyreece Lisbie from the follow-up.
The home side slowly got into the game, having withstood some more Reading pressure, and Ryan Johnson saw his 68th-minute effort cleared off the line after a Zack Nelson free-kick.
With five minutes' additional time, it was likely one chance would decide the game. However, despite a late run by Steven Sessegnon for the hosts, it proved honours even.
