    Last over of the day - one single from it as Daryl Mitchell runs the ball down to fine leg.

    England hurry round to try and squeeze in another over, but the umpire's aren't having it.

    New Zealand's day - starting with bowling out England for 354 to secure an 84-run first innings lead.

    They wobbled for a time and were 51-3, but Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra's unbeaten 69-run partnership has taken the tourists towards a total they can defend.

    Woops.

    Shoaib Bashir bowls a huge looping full toss, dropping down on Rachin Ravindra at shoulder height.

    Ravindra gets his bat underneath it and adds four runs to the no ball - that takes New Zealand's lead past 200.

    Jamie Smith drops back and Jofra Archer sends down the rest of his over - no runs off the bat, but a front foot no ball denies the seamer a maiden.

    I'm afraid if its a series defeat surely it has to be the end of Brendon McCullum and Rob Key. It would be eight Tests and six defeats.

    All a bit frantic off the last two balls of the over.

    Shoaib Bashir collects a return shot from Daryl Mitchell and throws wildly at the stumps.

    The ball passes Jamie Smith and Harry Brook dives from slip to stop it running away for four byes.

    Mitchell then tries to sweep and gloves the ball - it loops up and comes down just in front of Jofra Archer at short fine leg.

    Speaking of Archer, he's going to replace Ben Stokes for a burst before the close.

    He whips Ben Stokes through square, bringing up the landmark off 81 deliveries.

    That also takes New Zealand's score into three figures, and brings up the fifty partnership off 97 balls.

    The groundsman at Trent Bridge has prepared an excellent track for this Test Match. It's only now on day three it has begun to misbehave but still predictable enough for the batsmen to play their shots. A beautifully poised match, with all potential results still possible.
