Tonight, it will be very windy and unsettled with gale force winds and a band of heavy rain sweeping eastwards. The rain could produce some thunder on the west coasts.

A similar theme into tomorrow with very windy conditions, spells of heavy rain and downpours as well as a possibility of isolated thunder on the west coast. Hints of snow on the highest hilltops.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday
Mostly cloudy and windy on Wednesday with isolated showers lingering until midday at least. Then turning drier but staying mostly cloudy. Best chance of sunshine in the far north. Low cloud and thick, dense fog is likely to develop overnight and into Thursday morning. This could linger in the south for much of the day, but sunnier in the north. Cloudy with drizzle on Friday.
