Ghana govment say dem bring back more than 220 of dia citizens from Ivory Coast on 11 June 2026.

Authorities dey prepare to bring back about 100 odas on Friday, 13 June afta Ivorian authorities continue one demolition exercise for di Port Bouet municipality for Abidjan.

Dem dey pull down structures for dis areas to reorganise di place, remove structures wey dey unsafe and clear areas wey bin dey flood.

Inside one statement, Ghana foreign ministry confam say "all 327 nationals become stranded sake of dem bin stay for di Port Bouet area bifor di demolition wey dem lose dia properties and businesses".

"Dis pipo no get di means to find oda places to stay, na so govment provide buses and trucks to carry dia belongings free of charge to Ghana safely," di foreign ministry tok.

Dem further explain say "Ivorian authorities don promise to compensate victims of di demolition".

Ghana govment say dem dey committed to ensure di safety of dia citizens wey dem go offer di necessary support to ensure say di returnees don re-integrate well for di society.

Di latest repatriation of citizens from Ivory Coast dey come days afta Ghana evacuate almost 1,000 of dia citizens from xenophobic tensions for South Africa.

Dis pipo dey feel threats and attacks from South Africans wey don increase di anti-immigration protests against black Africans.

Dem accuse Africans of taking dia jobs, dia women, and dia involvement for criminal activities for di rainbow kontri, allegations Ghana, Nigeria and oda African kontris don deny.

Apart from Ghana, Nigeria repatriate nearly 300 of dia citizens on 12 June, Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe all evacuate dia citizens sake of dis xenophobic attacks.

Between March and May dis year, Ghana also repatriate some 85 citizens from Cambodia, wey dem dey plan to bring 76 more from dia.

Ghana Foreign Ministry say na contingency budget allocations dey fund di evacuation of dia citizens from South Africa.
