The Zutons

The Zutons make a foray into the forest

The Zutons at Thetford Forest

Liverpool band The Zutons are to open Thetford Forest's line-up of summer concerts with their string of radio-friendly hits.

Radio-friendly five-piece The Zutons will launch Thetford Forest's line-up of picnic concerts this summer.

The Merseysiders are due to perform their canon of hits including You Will You Won't, Pressure Point and Valerie - given another chart run by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse - on Thursday, 5 June, 2008.

It's one of seven woodland dates that the band are performing, with the High Lodge gigs on the Norfolk-Suffolk border spread over two weekends in June.

The Zutons are now in LA recording their third album, which is the follow-up to the multi-platinum selling Who Killed The Zutons? and Tired Of Hanging Around.

Songs from the new record, due to be released in the spring, are sure to be aired during the forest shows, which make up the group's first tour in two years.

Gig organisers at Thetford now have just one act left to announce, with The Zutons joining Status Quo, Katherine Jenkins, Crowded House and KT Tunstall on this year's bill.

Tickets, costing £26 including booking fee, are available from the ticket hotline on 01842 814 612 and www.forestry.gov.uk/music or in person at High Lodge ahead of the show.
