Top-selling songstress KT Tunstall has announced that she is to play a concert among the trees this summer. The singer - whose new fiancé Luke Bullen is from Sprowston, Norwich - will perform at Thetford Forest on the Norfolk-Suffolk border on Friday, 6 June, 2008. The 32-year-old spent years playing in folk groups in her native Scotland before breaking into the big time three years ago with her debut album, Eye To The Telescope, which sold more than 4m copies. As well as hits from her first record, the singer-songwriter will be airing songs at Thetford's High Lodge venue from her new album, Drastic Fantastic. There should be a good turnout of family and friends for KT Tunstall's drummer Luke Bullen, who she got engaged to on Christmas Day and is planning to marry later this year. The Thetford date is one of two forest shows that the star is playing, with the other gig being staged in Cheshire. Singer-songwriter Tom Baxter, who was brought up in Bungay, will be warming up for both concerts. KT Tunstall is the fourth big name act to be revealed by gig organisers for their summer line-up - joining veteran rockers Status Quo, opera-singing beauty Katherine Jenkins and Australian band Crowded House. Tickets, costing £27.50 plus booking fee, go on sale at 9am on Friday, 15 February, 2008 on the ticket hotline on 01842 814 612 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music last updated: 12/02/2008 at 17:22 SEE ALSOYou are in: Norfolk > Entertainment > Music & Clubbing > Previews & Features > KT Tunstall at Thetford Forest |
