Ooohs from the crowd as the screen shows the replay of that last point. Jasmine Paolini couldn't believe it was out, but the replay shows she missed the line by mere millimetres.

The Italian turns her team, holds out her arms and shrugs in frustration before trundling back to her chair.

  2. Cobolli 'taking the match on'published at 15:07 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 6-7 (4-7) 0-0 Cobolli*

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC Two

De Minaur was giving every thing to try to stay in it but it shows you how good Cobolli is playing, just denying him of that opportunity.

Cobolli is the one who's taking the match on at the right times, De Minaur hasn't been able to do that.

De Minaur has had plenty of times where he could've played a shot but he's shied away. When Cobolli has been on the defensive, he's stayed aggressive.

  3. Eala breakspublished at 15:06 BST

    Paolini 6-4 3-4 Eala*

    It's advantage Alexandra Eala again.

Jasmine Paolini had produced big shots at crucial moments in that game - a perfectly executed serve and volley at 30-30, then her first ace of the match at deuce - but Eala kept coming.

Paolini nearly does it again at break point but her backhand slides millimetres wide of the line and Eala is a break up once more.

    De Minaur 5-7 6-7 (4-7) 0-0 Cobolli*

Flavio Cobolli is made to work for it because of some remarkable Alex de Minaur defence from the back of the court, but the Italian ninth seed eventually finds the right shot.

Cobolli is two sets up and has one foot in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

  5. Set point Cobollipublished at 15:03 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 6-6 (3-6) Cobolli*

Under pressure at the back of the court after racing back to recover a lob, Flavio Cobolli rips a forehand winner which draws oohs from the crowd.

Cobolli later takes advantage of a second serve to crash a forehand return winner and bring up three set points.

Great Britain’s Katie Boulter has arrived to support partner Alex de Minaur, and she’s proudly wearing an England shirt after last night’s incredible match.

Hopefully she didn’t disturb De Minaur with her celebrations if she stayed up to watch that one…

  7. Tie-breakpublished at 15:00 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 6-6 (3-3) Cobolli*

Alex de Minaur goes the wrong way with a forehand when well placed in a rally and it bounces the wrong side of the line, before Flavio Cobolli's magnificent defence earns him a mini break.

Cobolli can't take advantage as he then puts a forehand long and we go to the change of ends with the score level in the tie-break.

  8. Eala holdspublished at 14:59 BST

    *Paolini 6-4 3-3 Eala

Chance for Jasmine Paolini. Second serve at 30-all, it sits up nicely but she pumps it into the net.

Alexandra Eala then seals the hold with a brilliant backhand slice that just catches the line and scoots through for a winner.

Even if Paolini had got there, she couldn't have got underneath it to get it back!

    *De Minaur 5-7 6-6 Cobolli

    Mark Woodforde
17-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

The professional approach that De Minaur has wins him a lot of matches. When we get to the back end of Grand Slams, I think that's sometimes where De Minaur struggles. He doesn't have that one shot that can win him three quick points.

Cobolli has that and we are seeing it.

  10. Tie-breakpublished at 14:56 BST

    *De Minaur 5-7 6-6 (0-0) Cobolli

Flavio Cobolli hits a couple of first serves to take control of the game but follows it up with his fourth double fault of the match.

Cobolli recovers with a nice backhand down the line which Alex de Minaur can do little about as we head to a tie-break.

    Paolini 6-4 3-2 Eala*

    Emily Salley
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

There was a bit of time towards the back end of the opening set and the start of the second where it looked like Jasmine Paolini had lost the aggression we saw at the very start of the match.

But she seems to have found her fight again. Big winners and she's looking lively on her feet.

The Italian has the majority of the crowd against her now. They're cheering for Eala, hoping this goes to a deciding set.

  13. Paolini holdspublished at 14:54 BST

    Paolini 6-4 3-2 Eala*

Centimetres wide from Alexandra Eala on the backhand down the line. That's the difference between break point and not.

The 21-year-old had gone up 0-30 on Jasmine Paolini's serve but the Italian fought back and, already a set to the good, edges in front in the second.

  14. De Minaur holdspublished at 14:52 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 6-5 Cobolli*

Flavio Cobolli is making Alex de Minaur play every point at the moment but the Australian has the answers with some strong striking from the back of the court.

De Minaur wraps up the game with a neat volley at the net and Cobolli must now serve to stay in the second set.

  15. Paolini breaks backpublished at 14:50 BST

    *Paolini 6-4 2-2 Eala

Excellent game from Jasmine Paolini to take away Alexandra Eala's advantage immediately.

The Italian continues to pounce on the second serve and a combination of some crisp forehands and excellent touch at the net help her get the break back.

This is a great stretch that Cobolli has played.

Eleven straight points for Flavio Cobolli, who has all the momentum at the moment as he races to 40-0.

The Italian misses an extravagant one-handed backhand down the line but sees out the game on the next point to level the score in the second set.

Alex de Minaur is on the back foot here.

  18. Postpublished at 14:47 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 5-4 Cobolli*

    Todd Woodbridge
Former Wimbledon doubles champion on BBC Two

Cobolli has got that extra bit of firepower when he needs it. It's so difficult for De Minaur to hold onto. But, he still has the lead.

  19. Cobolli breaks backpublished at 14:46 BST

    De Minaur 5-7 5-4 Cobolli*

Two winners from Flavio Cobolli gives the Italian hope at 0-30, before Alex de Minaur goes into the net after a deep return.

Three chances to break back for the Italian and he makes the count as De Minaur pulls a forehand long.

Cobolli roars as he gets back on serve in this second set.

Britain's Neal Skupski has a busy day ahead as he is currently in men's doubles action and will be playing in the mixed doubles later on.

His day has got off to a bad start as he and American Christian Harrison have just lost the first set tie-breaker 7-4 in their third-round tie against the pairing of Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis and American Aleksandar Kovacevic.
