    URC table

Well, that's all from a dramatic evening in the United Rugby Championship.

Here's a look at the table with the remaining final matches of the regular season to come across the weekend.

Ulster will be sweating as Munster host Lions tomorrow, but their immediate focus now turns to the Challenge Cup final next week in Bilbao.

Cardiff and Connacht booked their places in the top eight and have play-off rugby to look forward to.

Keep an eye on the BBC Sport app and website for reports and reaction from tonight's games, and thanks for joining us.

    FT: Ulster 22-26 Glasgow Warriors

Glasgow Warriors captain Kyle Steyn on Premier Sports: "We haven't won here since 2013 but we got five points and I couldn't be more proud.

"That's up there with some of the best we've attacked and Ulster kept us out. The crowd helped.

"Top of the table is good but it doesn't mean anything if we don't get the job done."

  3. 'Extremely grateful'published at 21:55 BST 15 May

    FT: Cardiff 22-16 Stormers

Leigh Halfpenny on S4C: “I’m extremely grateful to be given this opportunity. Cardiff gave me my opportunity as an 18-year-old to come here and I’ve made some incredible memories.

"To be able to come back to Cardiff this year and finish at the Arms Park in front of the fans, it means a lot. It’s really special and I’ve just been overwhelmed in the last week or so since the announcement, the messages from everyone.

"I’ve been blown away and just so grateful to everyone that has supported me along the way. Without them, it wouldn’t be possible.”

  4. 'It wasn't enough'published at 21:52 BST 15 May

    FT: Ulster 22-26 Glasgow Warriors

Player of the match Zac Ward on Premier Sports: "We talked all week that we needed an 80-minute performance, and I thought we did that. It's disappointing to come up short, but I'm immensely proud of the lads."

Ulster captain Nick Timoney: "They were on top for the first half and we were hanging on, but we weathered that. It wasn't enough so it's disappointing.

"We can salvage something from the season next week. We need a win. We'll dust ourselves off and we need to keep getting better. We need to make sure we take out chance."

  5. The race for Champions Cup rugbypublished at 21:48 BST 15 May

    FT: Cardiff 22-16 Stormers

A side note from tonight's game at Cardiff Arms Park - the hosts have ensured that they will be playing Champions Cup rugby next season.

If Ulster do miss out on the play-offs then the team that finishes eighth will lose their spot in the premier European tournament should the Irish province beat Montpellier in the Challenge Cup final.

Cardiff cannot drop to eighth, so it's a double celebration.

    It's never straightforward, is it?

Cardiff and Connacht are safely into the play-offs.

Ulster have the Challenge Cup next week - but will that be their final game of the season?

As things stand, Ulster ARE in eighth place but they need a favour from the Lions tomorrow.

If Munster get a single point, they will leapfrog their Irish rivals into the final play-off spot.

Cardiff came into this fixture with a patched-up squad to face a Stormers side who were hunting URC top spot.

However, the Blue and Blacks have been formidable all season on home territory and made it 10 wins from 11 in the Welsh capital. Only struggling Scarlets have won here this season.

Barring a remarkable last day, Cardiff will go on their travels in the quarter-finals but they won't mind that after missing out on the top eight by a point last season.

Corniel van Zyl's side have ensured there will be Welsh representation in the URC play-offs.

Cardiff will be underdogs in the quarters, but they have the tenacity and spark to cause anybody problems, whether it is Glasgow, Stormers, Leinster or Bulls.
