"Disappointed, frustrated, I think we left loads out there today. Credit to the USA, they were class but I also think a lot of their success came from our mistakes so that's where the frustration comes from.

"But they are sixth in the world and they showed that class to win the game today.

"The girls put in such a shift every week and they are absolutely class. I needed to keep my eye on the try line and knowing when I've got the opportunity to go.

"We want to go out we want to play rugby, that's the most exciting part, we'rep playing a brand of rugby that we haven't seen from a Wales team in a while. It's now about the little fixes and we've got a big few weeks leading into Japan.

"Hopefully you've seen that change in the performances."

Wales co-captain Bethan Lewis told BBC Sport Wales: "We're gutted. That Test match was there for the taking but when you make that many errors in the Championship minutes of a game, in the final moments, you're never going to come out on top.

"But the way the girls rallied and how we believe we can win these Test matches means we're going to learn and the next time it happens, it's not going to end like this.

"Last week was good but that was last week. We're learning now about those final few minutes and what you need to do. The overall feeling is just gutted.

"We're making good double shots in defence, moving the game around and then take that momentum into the next two games against Japan."

Most have the crowd have trudged off disappointed but having been fully entertained, with a smattering having remained to try and get close to the players.

I was a little worried but they put another performance in today. Yes they're disappointed but there was only two points in it.

She is some player in the set-piece. Last week against Ireland she was good and now a hat-trick here.

"Wales definitely gave us a game and honestly I don't know what to say I'm just tired.

"Props to Jack (Hanratty), if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here, he's such a great coach and he knows how to make players have fun.

"Once we got the new staff our team found a way to get close. Everyone knows how to connect on and off the field and that's what I think is so special about our team.

"We are confident going into Italy, but we definitely need to stay humble, we're still proving that we are a top six team in the world.

I feel gutted stood here, and that says a lot.

The USA are ranked sixth in the world and it was a two point game. There was enough fight there for them to go and win.

Some of the decisions didn't go their way but they were in the battle.

The turnaround that they have done to beat South Africa and push the sixth ranked team in the world to the end is incredible.

It was a tough innings, but still a really proud performance.

A game of two halves in many ways, after a breathless seven-try first half which Wales edged.

After the break it was one-way traffic, with the USA dominating proceedings despite only adding five points for their effort.

There was a frustrating lack of chances for Sean Lynn's side in the second half considering they scored four tries before the break.

But ultimately it was another encouraging performance against a team ranked sixth in the world.

Plenty of positives to take.

A valiant effort from Wales, but it is the USA who come out on top of what has been a brilliant Test match.

USA eventually kick for territory, and Lisa Neumann carries the ball back up to half way for Wales.

Unfortunately, yet another knock on from Wales once again ends the glimpse of momentum which was building.

Under two minutes remain now, and it will be a USA put in at the scrum on half way.

It's with the USA on half way, who only have to keep possession for three more minutes to seal victory.
