I've just caught up with Wales' Charlotte Henrich after her fourth place finish.

She says she's happy with the result on her Games debut.

A pre-race happy playlist was key for her with Rihanna, Zara Larsson and Pink Pantheress powering her to a 51.16 second run.

She even went to the same school as Pink Pantheress!

Jon McConnell is Team Northern Ireland's last hope of a boxing gold.

He skipped the chance to be on Love Island to make his Commonwealth Games debut and is guaranteed at least a silver.

It is arguably his toughest fight to date against Wales' Orlando Holley-Sotomi.

"I know this opponent is going to be good, he has been dynamite throughout the tournament but if anyone is going to beat him it's me," he told BBC Sport NI on Friday.

Welsh duo Connor Williams and Orlando Holley-Sotomi will both fight for gold in Glasgow after winning their respective semi-finals.

Heavyweight Williams beat Northern Ireland's Garyn McAllister by unanimous decision in the 90kg competition.

Light-middleweight Holley-Sotomi beat Mauritian Merven Clair in the men's 70kg, also by unanimous decision.

Holley-Sotomi faces Jon McConnell of Northern Ireland shortly and then it is the turn of Williams against England's Isaac Okoh.

Job done for England as Romell Glave, on the anchor leg, crosses the line in third. They'll be back for the final this evening.

South Africa win it in 38.30 seconds, the quickest time in either heat, with Ghana in second.

Not a great race for Jamaica as they finish fourth. But they will be in the final as one of the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers, Kenya are the other.

A very competitive first heat sees Nigeria win from Canada, with Australia third.

England have a tough heat that features South Africa, Jamaica and Ghana. Let's see how they go...

The second netball semi-final is under way, with New Zealand waiting to find out if they will play Australia or Jamaica in tomorrow's gold-medal match (13:00).

Whoever is beaten will play England in tomorrow's bronze-medal match (09:00) after the Roses lost a pulsating semi-final 61-54 earlier.

Lawrence Okoye last throw is his best but 64.45m is not quite enough to lift him into the top two and the Englishman takes the bronze medal.

Gold goes to Australia's Matthew Denny - he defends the title he won in Birmingham four years ago - with a best effort of 67.73m.

The silver goes to Jamaica's Fedrick Dacres with 65.10m.

That's a big win for England's Harry Ledingham-Horn!

He's beaten Olympic semi-finalists Njisane Phillip of Trinidad and Tobago to make it through to the last four.

The Englishman dropped down to hit the front with a lap and a half to go then had the speed to hold of Phillip the rest of the way.

No need for a photo finish this time. Ledingham-Horn is delighted and there's even a smile from Phillip as the 22-year-old celebrates.

Over to the men's 4x100m relay now. Heat one is about to begin.

England are the only home nation in this event and they go in heat two.

One round left of the men's discus final England's Lawrence Okoye is currently in the bronze medal position.

His only legal throw so far went 63.63m. Australia's Matthew Denny leads the way with 67.73m.

It wasn't pretty but England have done just enough to progress to the women's 4x100m final.

A couple of less than smooth changeovers made it more nervy than it might have been with Aleeya Sibbons and into Renee Regis the one that cost them the most momentum.

By contrast, Jamaica made that all look very simple as they won by a distance with Nigeria in second.

It looks like Scotland will progress as well as one of the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers.

Another gold medal bout for an English boxer is upon us.

Patris Mughalzai has performed well to make it to the men's 65kg final and all that stands in his way for the Commonwealth Games title now is Australia's Jacob Cassar.

We're under way.

Heat two in the women's 4x100m relay will see England go up against Jamaica and Nigeria.

Those three will also expect to progress but nothing can be taken for granted in the relay - we've all seen enough dropped batons over the years not to get carried away - and Singapore, Maldives and The Gambia will hope to spring a surprise.

It's a fifth-place finish in the F57 shot put for Taz Nicholls of England.

He sent the shot a season's best of 10.54m with his third attempt.

It's an Indian one-two on the podium, with Soman Rana taking gold with a 13.40m effort and Shubham Juyal winning silver with 13.28m, while Cameroon's Cedric Idriss Lekezo Azamdzi seals bronze.

It's Canada who come through to win from lane two.

Trinidad and Tobago qualify in second with Australia third.

Scotland were right in it but a less than ideal changover between legs two and three costs them. They finish fourth.

A proud moment for English boxer Sacha Hickey as the 22-year-old from London is awarded her first ever major medal after winning gold in the women's 65kg final.

Hickey won by unanimous decision against Northern Ireland's Kaci Rock, who collects the silver medal.

It's relay time at Scotstoun. Scotland go in the first heat here with the top three teams progressing to the final automatically.

It’s silver too for Team Northern Ireland boxer Kaci Rock in her first Commonwealth Games.

Her dad Jim Rock is the only boxer to have held the Irish title at four different weight divisions: light-middleweight, middleweight, super-middleweight and light-heavyweight.

He never went to the Commonwealth Games though so Kaci joked she will have to laud the silver over him now!

It goes down to a photo finish. England's Harry Ledingham-Horn is still fighting in the men's sprint after pipping Trinidad and Tobago's Njisane Phillip on the line.

Ledingham-Horn was behind all the way but came through on the outside at the last to take the second race by the slightest of margins.

We've got about 20 minutes until the third races of these quarter-finals.

Before that it's the men's 10km scratch race qualifying round.
