Jamaica had a 23-21 lead over four-time winners Australia at half-time, but the world number one side have rallied to draw level at 35-35.

It is safe to say that has been a very successful early session of boxing for England's fighters, with three bouts and three gold medals.

In the women's 65kg final, Sacha Hickey defeated Northern Ireland's Kaci Rock, who takes silver.

Patris Mughalzai won the men's 65kg final against Australian Jacob Cassar before Isaac Okoh beat Welshman Connor Williams in the 90kg event.

Jon McConnell won gold for Northern Ireland in the men's 70kg final, overcoming Orlando Holley-Sotomi of Wales.

Here's how the medal table is looking midway through this busy Saturday...

Kelly Petersen-Pollard is through to the semi-finals of the women's -70kg judo after beating Jemima Yeats-Brown in an all-English quarter-final.

Wales' Holly Devall and Northern Ireland's Rachael Hawkes were knocked out in the last eight.

In the men's -90kg, there was disappointment for Jamal Petgrave of England and Scotland's Scott Cusack as they also fell at the quarter-final stage.

Now it's time for a big final fight of the early boxing session and it's another all home nations contest.

Wales' Connor Williams is taking on England's Isaac Okoh, who comes into the men's 90kg bout as the favourite for the gold medal.

Australia look completely rattled by Jamaica's defensive power duo, and Shamera Sterling-Humphrey is having the game of her life.

Australia have never missed out on a Commonwealth Games final since the sport was introduced to the Games. This would be historic.

A shock result remains on the cards at the Hydro.

Jamaica look really strong on court, they are playing with confidence and are a force to be reckoned with.

Defending champions and world number one side Australia have rallied to close the gap to two points at half-time.

A dream come true for English boxer Patris Mughalzai as he collects his gold medal.

The 24-year-old, who trains at Powerday Hooks boxing club in London, overpowered Australian silver medallist Jacob Cassar in the final.

Mughalzai raises his arms and waves to the crowd before Jerusalem rings around the SEC Centre.

It's a big upset in the final race of this first session at Scotstoun as Sophie Hahn is beaten!

The England athlete was the favourite to win the women's 200m T38 final and complete a sprint double - and she was well out in front coming off the bend and even halfway down the final straight.

But she hit the wall and Australia's Rhiannon Clarke comes through to take the gold.

It's silver for Hahn and Briseis Brittain, also of Australia, secures bronze.

Gold for Jon McConnell and I'm sure he's glad he skipped Love Island now!

Team Northern Ireland finish with a gold, two silvers and three bronze.

Not a bad return as half of the 12-strong team come back with medals.

There will be three home nations representatives in the men's -73kg judo semi-finals later on at the SEC.

England's Benjamin Levy impressed in winning both his contests by an ippon and he will face Joshua Green of Northern Ireland in the last four.

Green edged past Scotland's Oliver Short in the quarter-finals.

England's Ethan Nairne will go in the other semi-final. He beat Scotland's Daniel Pacitti by an ippon before beating Wales' Ben Moore.

Jamaica have made a fantastic start against the four-time Commonwealth champions Australia at the Hydro.

They lead 13-10 at the end of the first quarter of their semi-final against the Diamonds, who have never failed to make the gold-medal match.

Jamaica are looking to make their second final following defeat by today's opponents four years ago in Birmingham.

I've just caught up with Wales' Charlotte Henrich after her fourth place finish.

She says she's happy with the result on her Games debut.

A pre-race happy playlist was key for her with Rihanna, Zara Larsson and Pink Pantheress powering her to a 51.16 second run.

She even went to the same school as Pink Pantheress!

Jon McConnell is Team Northern Ireland's last hope of a boxing gold.

He skipped the chance to be on Love Island to make his Commonwealth Games debut and is guaranteed at least a silver.

It is arguably his toughest fight to date against Wales' Orlando Holley-Sotomi.

"I know this opponent is going to be good, he has been dynamite throughout the tournament but if anyone is going to beat him it's me," he told BBC Sport NI on Friday.

Welsh duo Connor Williams and Orlando Holley-Sotomi will both fight for gold in Glasgow after winning their respective semi-finals.

Heavyweight Williams beat Northern Ireland's Garyn McAllister by unanimous decision in the 90kg competition.

Light-middleweight Holley-Sotomi beat Mauritian Merven Clair in the men's 70kg, also by unanimous decision.

Holley-Sotomi faces Jon McConnell of Northern Ireland shortly and then it is the turn of Williams against England's Isaac Okoh.

Job done for England as Romell Glave, on the anchor leg, crosses the line in third. They'll be back for the final this evening.

South Africa win it in 38.30 seconds, the quickest time in either heat, with Ghana in second.

Not a great race for Jamaica as they finish fourth. But they will be in the final as one of the two fastest non-automatic qualifiers, Kenya are the other.

A very competitive first heat sees Nigeria win from Canada, with Australia third.

England have a tough heat that features South Africa, Jamaica and Ghana. Let's see how they go...
