A lot of eyes will be focused on this match as European rookie Mimi Rhodes gets to take on world number one Nelly Korda.

Rhodes has excelled this week, winning both her matches alongside fellow debutant Nastasia Nadaud.

And to some extent it's a free hit for the 24-year-old Englishwoman with Korda clearly the standout player in the American team and world golf.

But Korda has had a mixed bag this week, finally losing her 100% record in the foursomes with Allisen Corpuz before being pegged back by Carlota Ciganda's last-hole heroics late on Friday.

Angel Yin is first to putt. She has her former US skipper Juli Inkster following her round. The pair are good friends, although Inkster can't offer any advice today.

The birdie putt pulls up short. The greens have slowed significantly given overnight and continuing rain.

Has Linn Grant learned anything? No! Another putt comes up short.

Megan Khang hasn't quite got the speed of the greens yet - they're rolling a lot slower than yesterday due to all the rain we've had in the Netherlands overnight and this morning.

As on the first hole, she comes up short with a putt she has to win the second hole, so Charley Hull stays one up.

Linn Grant from only 122 yards on the first, flicks her ball onto the green and it skips up to around 15 feet.

Angel Yin from five yards closer hits the same shot to the same distance.

Two birdie putts coming up.

Esther Henseleit lets Alison Lee off the hook when she misses her birdie try on the first. Lee still has to make par from 10 feet but wielding one of those broomhandle putters she swipes the ball into the hole.

Lee and Yealimi Noh both use the long putters - and use them very, very well.

OK, so there's only one match through the first hole but, you know....

On paper this looks like a guaranteed blue point with Linn Grant claiming three points from three matches alongside her great friend and fellow Swede Maja Stark on the opening two days.

American Angel Yin has played just once this week, picking up a half point in Friday's fourballs alongside Yealimi Noh against Charley Hull and Lottie Woad.

Yin has been out injured though so it's no surprise that she's only played once and even then Noh largely carried their pairing.

But golf is not played on paper...

...both players find the massively wide opening fairway off the tee.

Megan Khang can't get up and down from the greenside bunker and Charley Hull is left with about four feet for the win - and she drains it!

Hull's made absolutely nothing on the greens this week so that was important to get that to drop even if it was a short one.

Team USA had a big celebration on their team bus last night after Jennifer Kupcho's grandstand finish - and those celebrations were posted to social media.

And it's clear from Anna Nordqvist's comments that Europe saw those scenes, can they use that as extra motivation?

I think this is going to be a really good match. We know that Charley is probably better off when she goes out and plays her own ball. She loves singles. We saw her beat Nelly Korda with that big result a few years ago.

Today, though, Megan Khang is a very difficult opponent. She's not had any losses in her singles. This is going to be a big match for Europe.

Alison Lee is 1-1-0 in singles while Esther Henseleit halved her only previous singles match in the competition.

Both of these have 100% record so far this week, with Lee winning all three matches and Henseleit going two-for-two.

They can't both win this one...

OK then, here we go!

Megan Khang as she's done before here this week gets the crowd going to make some noise as she strikes her tee shot away - and Charley Hull follows her.

So it's a noisy start at the first tee but both of them fire away solid tee shots that end up in the hollow down the left side of the fairway where most players end up.

For all the world it looked like Europe were going to take a narrow lead into the final day, they were going to share the afternoon session off the back of an excellent morning which they won 3-1. But now momentum is now very much with the Americans after the afternoon comeback.

Anna Nordqvist's team needs to come together and concentrate on their own game now. Europe needs 14 and a half points to get the cup back.

It's going to be a difficult day out there. Conditions aren't great. It's damp, and the ball isn't going to go as far.

We need our rookies to play well today.

What a way to kick us off!

Charley Hull has been frustrated all week but can she turn it on when Europe really needs her? It won't be easy though as Megan Khang is a Solheim Cup specialist and she's unbeaten in singles competition.

Hull is 2-3-1 in singles and took down Nelly Korda last time but she's won just half a point so far here in the Netherlands. Kang is 3-0-1 from her four singles matches and only yesterday did she taste defeat for the first time in seven overall Solheim Cup matches.

This will be feisty.

After the way things ended on Saturday, Carlota Ciganda and Jennifer Kupcho in the penultimate match could not have been more fitting.

Kupcho yelled “Vamos” as she drained a 91-foot putt to extend their fourballs match yesterday and then knocked in another lenghty putt of nearly 30 feet to steal a point from the grasp of the Spaniard and her partner Celine Boutier.

Well then, this should be fun shouldn't it?

Welcome to the Sunday singles at the 20th Solheim Cup and things quite literally couldn't be closer, as Europe and USA are locked together at 8-8 ahead of what should be a dramatic Sunday of singles action in the Netherlands.

After two days of twists and turns it's now all down to these one-on-one matches to settle the argument, and we've got some crackers coming up at Bernardus Golf Club.

How have Europe recovered from the USA's flying finish last night? Can big guns Charley Hull and Lottie Woad find some form? And does it coming down to the singles play into the hands of the visitors?
