He's playing with fire there, Oscar Piastri, running quite wide at the exit of Turn 18 and Turn 19. It's a little bit bumpy out there, so he's taking a bit of a risk, and it doesn't look like he's got the front end where he wants it, turning into those final corners.

For the drivers, this is a tough race, with warm conditions, lots of concentration required to weave your way through the streets. There are bumpy braking zones, changes of surface and no room for error.

It's also mental fatigue. They've already had a taste of that this morning.

  8. Go! Go! Go!published at 14:56 BST

Here we go again. Time for Q2. I would very much appreciate it if we keep the yellow flags away for the rest of the session please.

The floodlights have lit up the track in Singapore - I do love a night race.

I tell you who it is disappointing for as well, Alex Albon. Looking at the qualifying head-to-head, he's being beaten 12-4 by Williams team-mate Carlos Sainz - and that's going to be 13 now for Sainz, because he's out-qualified his team-mate once again.

Albon is not enjoying life at the moment.

Track evolution is always extremely high here and we've already had that downpour of rain earlier on, and no drivers went out on the slick [tyres] during the sprint race.
