The floodlights are switched on as Marina Bay gets ready to hold qualifying for tomorrow's full 62-lap grand prix. But will we see more wet conditions? Light rain showers and light winds is the forecast for tonight.

Plenty of teams have work to do during the break now after issues in the sprint, and now both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been summoned to see the stewards to talk through their late collision.

The new start time for qualifying in Singapore will be 14:30 BST (9:30pm local time), so we'll be back for build-up from 14:00.

    See you shortly!

  2. Verstappen takes fifth from Norris in standingspublished at 12:04 BST

The points on offer may only be small in the sprint, but they're enough to allow for Max Verstappen to jump above world champion Lando Norris in the drivers' championship and take fifth spot before tomorrow's main grand prix.

Kimi Antonelli is getting closer to a maiden world title and now leads Mercedes team-mate George Russell by 89 points after finishing fourth.

Russell also has a back-of-the-grid penalty for Sunday's race, so it would take something special for him to claw his way back into this fight.

In the constructors' standings, fourth-placed Red Bull are hot on the heels of McLaren for third spot, with only 11 points separating the two teams now after Verstappen's victory and Norris, who scored one point, and Oscar Piastri's contact.

  3. 'Hopefully we can make some valuable changes' - Antonellipublished at 12:01 BST

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli speaking after finishing P4 in the sprint: "The balance wasn't much different compared to yesterday but I think we saw some interesting things last night, especially on how the aerodynamics work which seems to work quite differently compared to the previous package. It's not easy to find the right window. Definitely need a bit more time but I believe together with the team we're doing the best we can and hopefully we can make some valuable changes and improve our pace going into qualifying."

  4. 'It is not worth it'published at 11:59 BST

    Alice Powell
British racing driver on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Speaking about the collision between McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri on the last lap of the sprint race:

"At that stage of the race, in a sprint race, it is just not worth it. It is just not worth it to then potentially crash into your team-mate, and that is the key word there.

"Rule number one, you don't take your team-mate out and even more so in the dying stages."

  5. Piastri - 'Not bothered either way'published at 11:58 BST

McLaren's Oscar Piastri on his race-ending collision with teammate Lando Norris, speaking to Sky Sports: "I've not seen it properly. From where I sit it's for fourth and fifth for a sprint race so I'm not bothered either way.

"Obviously it's a lot of work for the team to get the cars fixed."

McLaren's Lando Norris speaking to Sky Sports after finishing P8 and taking his teammate out of the sprint: "I'd rather just go back and review it."

On if the move was on: "Of course, otherwise I wouldn't have gone for it."

"I apologise to the team because one of the cars is out but like I said, we'll go and review it."

  8. Leclerc - 'We just didn't have the pace at the end'published at 11:52 BST

    Charles LeclercImage source, gett

Charles Leclerc speaking to David Coulthard after finishing third in the sprint race: "I struggled a lot from mid-race onwards. I went towards a quite aggressive balance on the other side of what I normally do with quite a weak front. It was quite good for the first part of the race but when it dried up I was nowhere."

On whether he saw what happened with the McLarens: "I knew I had to have a good exit out of five because I was very weak in all right-hand corners, particularly with the front left. I looked in my mirrors and saw the red lights of the back of the cars so I knew something had happened. Kimi was also strong, we just didn't have the pace at the end."

  9. Hamilton 'had a mega start'published at 11:47 BST

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton speaking after finishing P2 in the sprint: "I had a mega start which is awesome. I love driving this track in the rain in those conditions so as soon as the heavens opened I was like 'this is a great day'. I was trying to get close to Max without killing my tyres, I wasn't really pushing that much but I was bringing him in and then I just realised at this point we've got a long way to go, I don't think we'll be able to overtake in these conditions, there's only one line. So I backed off and then the front right started to overheat a little bit but then I got the controls back and towards the end I started to push and close the gap. It's a tough track to overtake.

"We showed that we have a good car, if we can do slightly better in qualifying, get both cars up there then I think we can apply pressure to the Mercedes' and Red Bulls. They are quick of course but we can be there hounding them so hopefully we can position the car in a slightly better position in this qualifying coming up."

  10. 'I want to win tomorrow' - Verstappenpublished at 11:44 BST

    Max VerstappenImage source, Getty Images

Red Bull's Max Verstappen who won the sprint race at the Singapore Grand Prix: "The start was horrendous again, that is definitely something we need to improve on, because if we have something like that tomorrow, that is your race over if anything crazy happens. Not ideal and then we got lucky with what happened with George out of the last corner.

"After that you just want to keep it calm and under control because you know you can't pass around here, especially in a condition like this, with the intermediates. We just try to bring it home, of course happy to win here in the sprint but I also know that I want to win tomorrow, not today."

On winning at every track he has raced in: "I want to win tomorrow. I don't see this as a win, in terms of actually winning a grand prix. We need to have a good qualifying. It will be very close, with a lot of cars I think. We just have to try and make sure we are the best one out of them. But it will hopefully be a good battle."

That was late from Lando Norris and it is not needed in the sprint race, in particular the last lap.

It was a late dive in the inside, he wasn't fully alongside Oscar Piastri, made contact with him, went over the kerb, into the side of his team-mate. That's Piastri out.
