Some lovely approach play ends with Malachi Boateng dinking in a cross from the right of the area for Bim Pepple at the back stick but he can only power a header just over under pressure.

First glimpse of goal for Plymouth debutant Will Evans, who latches onto a flick from Ronan Curtis on the left and lashes in an angled shot but Jack Bycroft is able to gather at the second attempt at his near post.

Argyle win a corner on the left which is swung in by Ronan Curtis and Jack Bycroft again channels his inner Superman to leap forward and punch clear at his near post.

Exeter keeper Jack Bycroft flies off his line to punch a couple of crosses clear, the first from Xavier Amaechi on the right looked destined for Bim Pepple in the mixer.

Really nice pace to the game again, for now...

That is a very disappointing finish to end what was a really good move.

Lightning break from Exeter after a Plymouth long-throw.

Reece Cole bursts down the right and crosses into the middle for Andrew Oluwabori who can't get his header right and nods it tamely off target from the penalty spot.

Murphy Cooper tips a looping cross from the right over the bar giving Exeter their first corner but though it breaks to Taylor Perry 20 yards out, his half-volley off his chest control flashes well wide off the outside of his left boot.

Spot of off-the-ball roughhousing within seconds of the kick-off. Got to love a derby.

Reece Cole barges over Argyle's Mathias Ross but it's just a talking to.

Plymouth work the ball forward and it drops to defender Alex Mitchell on the edge of the box but he can only skew a tame shot well wide. Nosebleed territory.

Harry Kite is on for his second Exeter debut at half-time, replacing Jake Doyle-Hayes in midfield.

Whilst Exeter have not created many gilt-edged chances, it is all to play for.

For all their possession Plymouth have yet to take a chance - Ronan Curtis should have scored with that effort midway through the first period.

But you worry for Exeter as this game goes on if they have to keep chasing the ball.

Argyle have had around 60% of the possession and Exeter's midfielders Taylor Perry, Jake Doyle-Hayes and Charlie Cummins have put in a big shift already with few chances to show for it.

Can they sustain that after the break or will Argyle finally make a breakthrough?

It's been fun to watch, even if it's goalless and with chances at a real premium.

It was 0-0 at half-time in April, remember, and that turned into a pulsating 2-2 draw with three goals from the 79th minute onwards.
