    Their team were outplayed in Germany as their side crashed out of Europe but, by the looks of things, the Motherwell supporters will party well into the night in Freiburg.

    At the full-time whistle, they were cheering and clapping and jumping up and down. They've enjoyed their European experience, that's for sure.

    Looking across to my left, the Rangers fans are absolutely incandescent with rage.

    They are gesturing at the team, they are hugely unhappy and you can understand. The amount of money they've spent on these trips and their team has produced a performance nowhere near the standard expected of them.

    The Rangers players go as far as the edge of the 18-yard box and turn back towards the tunnel. They are hanging their heads in shame and rightly so.

    Motherwell's Conference League journey is over after a rampant Freiburg side trounced them 4-1 in Germany in their play-off second leg.

    Trailing last season's Europa League finalist 3-1 on aggregate, Alfred Johansson's side had an almighty task in front of them if they were to qualify for the league phase of the competition, after coming through two rounds of qualifiers to reach the play-offs.
