  2. Top two draw a blankpublished at 18:06 GMT

    Scottish League 2

The big build up for Stranraer against Clyde at the top of the fourth tier failed to inspire any goals and the hosts stay clear of the Bully Wee on goal difference.

Elgin move to within three points of the top two with a win in Kelty.

Spartans move three clear of the Fifers in fourth after beating bottom side Annan, while Stirling thumped Forfar to move up to sixth.

  3. Daylight for County at toppublished at 18:04 GMT

    Scottish League 1

Ross County are now two points clear in the third tier after beating fourth-top hosts East Kilbride and with Hamilton being held to a draw at home by third-placed Montrose.

Cove are still bottom despite their win away to Airdrieonians - thanks to East Fife also winning at home to Queen of the South.

  4. Tight at top after Thistle defeatpublished at 18:01 GMT

    Scottish Championship

It is all tight at the top of the second tier after Partick Thistle's shock loss at home to Morton.

The Glasgow side are now only a point ahead Raith Rovers at the top after the Kirkcaldy side demolished hosts Arbroath.

Talking of demolishing, Dunfermline came from behind to hammer Caley Thistle and are only behind their Fife rivals on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Morton's win takes them three clear of Queen's Park, who lost in Ayr, at the bottom.

  5. Postpublished at 18:00 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

St. Johnstone have failed to win in their last four games in the Premiership, while Kilmarnock have gone without a win in three.

  6. Lack of Buddies threatpublished at 17:57 GMT

    Motherwell 1-0 St Mirren

In contrast to Killie, St Mirren had only five goal attempts at Fir Park - their lowest total in a single match in the Premiership this season.

Perhaps that's due to Motherwell having kept a clean sheet in three of their 12 games.

Only Rangers (5) and Celtic (4) have done this more often in the Premiership this season.

  7. Blunt force Killiepublished at 17:54 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

No wonder Neil McCann is disappointed.

His side had 22 goal attempts - their highest total in a single match in the Premiership this season.

They also attempted 542 passes in this game - their highest total in a single match in the Premiership this season.

Much of that would have been down to facing 10 men - and they couldn't make it all count.

  8. 'Sore one' for Killie boss McCannpublished at 17:52 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

Kilmarnock manager Neil McCann tells BBC Scotland: "In terms of the amount of chances we created, we just didn't take them. That being said, a man up, 2-1 up, you shouldn't lose two points.

"Sometimes when you're a man up it's difficult because that team are working ever so hard - it's difficult to play against and it requires patience.

"I felt the uneasiness around the stadium, even when we were 2-1 up, and the players looked like they were being affected by it. We rushed things and, when it gets to 2-2, with lots of time left, there's no need to panic. We got into good areas, but we just lacked that quality.

"The most galling thing is they've scored two goals with 10 men - that's a sore one.

"We need the support more than ever. The players are working with everything they've got. There's not lack of willingness or effort to win games.

"We're all hurting that we don't win the games. We haven't lost the game today, but it feels like a loss because we dropped two points from a good position.

"Do I feel the pressure? No. I feel it for the boys because they're getting pressure applied."

  9. McLeish questions penalty decisionpublished at 17:49 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Craig McLeish is disappointed with the decision to award Motherwell their winning spot kick.

"I've not seen it back yet," he admits. "Our view from the dug out, it looks like he's [Fieldson] pushed into the ball.

"No-one is denying it's touched his arm, but from us it looks like he's pushed into it. It's a sore one for us to take.

"It's another penalty we've given away and today it decided the game."

  10. McLeish laments attacking threatpublished at 17:46 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Craig McLeish tells BBC Scotland: "We didn't do enough to test Motherwell. I don't think their goalkeeper had a save to make.

"We got into some promising areas but lacked a bit of quality in the final third. There were some really promising periods and got into promising areas but didn't manage to take advantage of them.

"Motherwell maybe feel a bit aggrieved that they didn't take more of their chances. They started the game well, had a lot of energy about them.

"We had to fix a little bit of our press after the first 15 minutes and I thought, after we did that, we took control of parts of the game without really offering too much in the final third.

"We have to be tough to play against, but we also have to carry a threat we were lacking that today."

  11. Resilient Saintspublished at 17:42 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

One stat from the match at Rugby Park appears to show the difference in resilience between Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.

Kilmarnock have lost seven points from winning positions in the Premiership this season - no team has lost more.

St Johnstone, meanwhile, have won seven points from losing positions in the Premiership this season - no team has recovered more.

  12. Valakari vindicates Stewardpublished at 17:34 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari was not for blaming goalkeeper Toby Steward, who was sent off in the first half for handling outside his penalty box.

The Finn stressed that he wants his goalkeepers to come off their line.

"That’s my tactical choice," he tells BBC Scotland. "I want my keeper to be like a sweeper behind those long balls.

"And he has been very good, he reads those moments.

"As you know in football, it’s a teeny, teeny line you know, where he was and now this time it went this way, a red card, but Ross Sinclair came in and made some great saves."

  13. 'Goals will come' - Johanssonpublished at 17:30 GMT

    FT: Motherwell 1-0 St Mirren

Motherwell manager Alfred Johansson tells BBC Scotland: "I think very similar to how the last couple of games have been, I think we played very well.

"Big credit to the players because you could maybe sense in the last 20 minutes that it could maybe be the same story all over again because we created a lot of chances, which we didn't convert.

"We kept on going and scored in the 82nd minute, so massive credit to the players.

"We missed four big chances, so we need to keep working on that. We kept a clean sheet and also limited St Mirren to a very low amount of chances.

"We were doing very well with regards to competing in our own box and that has probably been the most important thing, to stop conceding easy goals, and today I think we defended very well.

"When the goals come, the goals will come."

  14. 'Players never doubted' - Valakaripublished at 17:26 GMT

    FT: Kilmarnock 2-2 St Johnstone

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland he's thrilled with the personality and character of his players to dig out a point with 10 men.

"We came here to win the football match," he says. "We want to win the football matches.

"Sometimes you need to take what the game gives you. What our players did today, playing 80 minutes one man short – and in the last 20 minutes playing with two players short because I had made all my substitutions and Danny Schmidt couldn’t run – we have been talking a lot about the players’ character.

"Today, the personality and character: they never ever doubted. We always felt we could get something out of the match if we did things right and actually we scored two good goals."

  15. No big mover at bottompublished at 17:22 GMT

    Scottish Premiership

St Mirren and St Johnstone miss a chance to leapfrog Falkirk into sixth place.

However, the Perth side move above the other Saints on goal difference after their 10-man draw in Kilmarnock.

Motherwell's win over the Buddies takes them above Aberdeen into ninth.

Meanwhile, Killie are at least above Hibs, who drop to bottom, despite their fans showing their displeasure at Neil McCann's side being unable to make their man advantage pay dividends.
