It's catching, as the home fans count down the remainder of the three added minutes aloud.

The referee is strict to time and the players head in for the break.

London City enjoyed the lion's share of the ball in that first half with 59% of possession, but apart from Alexia Putellas' half-chance which flew over the bar, there's been little opportunity for them to equalise.

The hosts head in with a narrow, deserved lead.

Aside from Kelly Gago's performance, one of my favourite things about this game so far has been the referee's tendency to count down, very loudly, from five each time a goalkeeper stands over a goal-kick.

In their last six seasons, West Ham have only won their first home game once.

On the basis of their first-half performance, you'd bet on them adding a second here.

She's unsteady on her feet as she shoots, but it's the biggest chance London City have had so far and Putellas will be disappointed not to level things.
