It's been quite the afternoon in the third and fourth tier and you won't have long to wait until you can see them all again.

We return on Tuesday for some midweek action, including a showdown between Huddersfield Town and a Peterborough side unbeaten under new boss Robbie Savage.

    Until then.

Home wins for Bradford and Stockport keep them top of the pile, but a stack of teams are breathing down their necks.

Plymouth were the only side among the top six not to pick up the three points as they are beaten and leapfrogged by Huddersfield, while Sheffield Wednesday impressed with a 5-0 rout of Wimbledon

Leicester City won for just the third time to ease the pressure a little on Russell Martin, but the Foxes remain 14th, while Orient moved into the top 10 by beating Blackpool.

Basement side Wigan shocked Reading for just their second win of the season, while the rest of the bottom five sides all lose.

  3. Huddersfield bouncing after convincing winpublished at 17:26 BST 17 October

    FT: Plymouth 0-2 Huddersfield

    Marc Webber
BBC Final Score commentator at Home Park

The Huddersfield town fans were bouncing as the Plymouth Argyle fans left.

Huddersfield gave a two-goal lead away last week, but they exorcised that ghost with a convincing performance for the full game to take the win.

Argyle had a period of opportunity in the latter part of the second half after a triple substitution. One of the subs, Oliver Irow, forcing a strong save.

But Huddersfield had already done the deal. Leading six minutes in with Sanches Fernandes' low drive from just inside the area. It took them until the fifth minute of the second half to double it with a header on the floor of the Argyle area by Bojan Radulovic.

  4. Millers drop into bottom twopublished at 17:25 BST 17 October

Salford City retain their place at the top at the expense of Crawley, who are now five points adrift at the bottom of the table.

They are joined by Rotherham, their unhealthy goal difference meaning they drop down below Northampton, whose win over Grimsby Town is enough to see them just outside.

Victory for Port Vale over Chesterfield has supplied them with one point of breathing space.

  5. 'Desperately needed win'published at 17:22 BST 17 October

    FT: Leicester 2-1 Doncaster

    Matt Piper
Former Foxes winger on BBC Radio Leicester

For the players and manager this was desperately needed.

I thought the shape change really helped the side. The last 20 minutes of the first half and throughout the second half they were really good.

I thought John Lundstram was excellent, he scored a brilliant goal and he drove the performance.

  8. 'Best performance of the season'published at 17:09 BST 17 October

    FT: Plymouth 0-2 Huddersfield

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

It's got to be the best performance this season.

Huddersfield limited Plymouth's chances, I don't think Matt Young had a proper save to make.

They weren't allowing Plymouth to have the ball, they were defending from the front.

  9. 'This needs to act as a good foundation'published at 17:09 BST 17 October

    FT: Leicester 2-1 Doncaster

    Owynn Palmer-Atkin
    BBC Radio Leicester commentator

This needs to act now as a good foundation into brighter times.

Leicester will be grateful they have three more points on the board.

A nervy end, but Leicester hold on.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:58 BST 17 October

    Leicester 2-1 Doncaster

Owen Bailey's header is saved in the top corner by Leicester goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and that will do it.

Goals from John Lundstram and Kamari Doyle looked to have Leicester cruising before Alfie May gave Doncaster late hope.

A third win of the season and a much-needed boost for Russell Martin.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 BST 17 October

    Plymouth 0-2 Huddersfield

Plymouth's late charge is not enough as Huddersfield hold strong for a 2-0 victory.

The Terriers were the better team for the majority of the match and sealed their reward when Bojan Radulovic nodded in their second.

Just one shot on target for the Pilgrims. Not a performance worthy of league leaders and now they find themselves displaced.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 BST 17 October

    Swindon 1-1 Walsall

It's another draw for Walsall - but now six games without a win for Swindon.

Louis Millard might have won it for the Robins late on with a break from deep, but his finish was wide of the target and it's a point apiece.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:53 BST 17 October

    Sheff Wed 5-0 AFC Wimbledon

Sheffield Wednesday ship five past AFC Wimbledon in a commanding performance at Hillsborough.

Questions have been raised over Henrick Pedersen's leadership as of late but that's some way to quieten his critics.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:50 BST 17 October

    Leicester 2-1 Doncaster

Leicester so nearly wrap this up with a third but the woodwork denies them.

Will Alves steps inside from the right and plants a shot against the crossbar and out for a goal-kick.

  17. League Two latestpublished at 16:49 BST 17 October

A big second-half double for Kabongo Tshimanga, with his second goal coming from the penalty spot as Barnet fight back from behind to lead 2-1 at Tranmere.

As it stands, the top three are all winning - but Crewe are now clinging to a 3-2 lead as Aden Flint pulls back a second goal for visitors Rochdale.

Elsewhere, Oldham are poised to end their six-match winless streak in style, with Jamie Robson putting the Latics 4-1 up at home to Cheltenham.

  18. Postpublished at 16:47 BST 17 October

    Swindon 1-1 Walsall

Walsall have made drawing a habit lately. Five of their last six games have finished with honours even and maybe they'll be content to head home with another point today.

Goalscorer Tai Sodje has just been withdrawn, making way for Andy Dallas as the game moves into its closing stages.

  20. 'Doncaster with their tails up'published at 16:45 BST 17 October

    Leicester 2-1 Doncaster

    Matt Piper
Former Foxes winger on BBC Radio Leicester

Leicester are going to have to show some real personality here.

We said they needed the second, they got that. They probably could have done with the third to save a nervy final few minutes.

Doncaster will have their tails up now, they believe they can find that equaliser.
