Prokofiev's Suite from 'Romeo and Juliet' performed in Dresden

Elizabeth Alker presents an afternoon of exceptional music-making, featuring performances by one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious symphony orchestras, the Staatskapelle Dresden, alongside chamber music from Bavaria.

The programme opens with Wagner’s dramatic Götterdämmerung Suite, performed by the Staatskapelle Dresden under Daniele Gatti. The orchestra returns under Elim Chan for Prokofiev’s vivid Romeo and Juliet Suite.

From the Imperial Hall Concerts in Füssen, clarinettist Ib Hausmann and pianist Mengjie Han perform music by Joseph Horovitz.
