The BBC Philharmonic Live from Salford Quays

Elizabeth Alker reflects on recent highlights from the Charles Wood Festival at Glenarm. Featuring specially made recordings, with performances from the acclaimed soprano Erika Baikoff, the Grammy award-winning mezzo Fleur Barron, and one of today's leading recital tenors, Ilker Arcayürek.

The heart of today’s programme is a live concert from the players of the BBC Philharmonic, at home in their Salford studio. Clelia Cafiero conducts the Tragic Overture by Brahms and Schubert's Symphony No. 9.
