Episode 10
Their camper van is ready to go, but Emma and Jay must downsize first. With vintage registration plates revamped and a passport charm for luck, can Bee and JJ help fuel their bold adventure?
Auctioneer Briony Harford and expert restorer JJ Chalmers are called in to help married couple Emma and Jay downsize their home and raise funds for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in their camper van.
Following the recent loss of Emma’s adventurous mother, and inspired by her love of travel, the couple have decided that life is too short, and now is the time to turn their dream of seeing the world into a reality. They’ve already got the camper van, but now they need to quit their jobs and downsize their home. After inheriting hoards of family belongings over the years, their house is full of remarkable items, including royal memorabilia linked to Emma’s late father, an accountant to King Charles III. It all needs to go if their unconventional ambitions are to be fulfilled and this clear-out will be no small task.
Bee unveils a collection of striking artworks, some echoing the swagger of the Starsky and Hutch era, others bearing a more stately provenance, alongside a perfectly chosen silver passport charm. Meanwhile, JJ reimagines a set of far-flung registration plates as a sleek, contemporary storage piece. But when the hammer falls, which treasures will soar highest at auction?
