Realising the Tsuchigumo Clan no longer has the strength to safeguard the jutsu, Tonbei confesses that the late En no Gyoja, who wished for his granddaughter’s well-being, left behind the means to extract the forbidden jutsu from Hotaru. But not wishing to destroy the forbidden jutsu, Hotaru confides to Naruto that her missing clan member Shiranami might just be able to protect the jutsu.
