The Hidden Mist demands Utakata be handed over to them in exchange for Hotaru. Yamato refuses, believing such compliance would interfere with their own mission, as Hotaru would most likely follow Utakata. Just when battle looks imminent, Tsurugi, leader of the Mist tracking unit, breaks in. To avoid an unnecessary fight, Tsurugi strikes a deal with Utakata and Yamato.
