Believing Shiranami’s story, Hotaru writes a parting letter addressed to Utakata and leaves Mount Katsuragi. Meanwhile Naruto, still searching for Shiranami, falls into the Magaki Troops’ trap but manages to escape thanks to help from Utakata. The two come to the realisation that Shiranami, the man Hotaru was seeking, is in fact the bandit who attacked Mount Katsuragi. Fearing for her safety, Naruto and Utakata work together to search for the disappeared Hotaru, leading them to the Tsuchigumo Clan village that is now horrendously transformed by Shiranami’s jutsu.
