For one post on im Facebook account on Saturday, 16 May, Buba announce im withdrawal from di race for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, effective immediately, for inside one letter e address to di Chairman of im party, di All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kaduna state.

E say di reason for im withdrawal na "in di interest of di APC".

"Dis no be easy decision. But na sake of di reconciliation efforts wey di stakeholders and leaders of our party initiate. Afta long consultations wit my family, political associates, and stakeholders within our great party, I don decide say decision na in di best interest of di All Progressives Congress (APC). I believe say to stand gidigba for di back of one single candidate dey important to our victory for di general election and for di ontinued progress of our constituency and state," e tok for di statement.
