Firefighters tackling blaze on Arthur's Seat

Fire crews in Edinburgh have spent the night tackling a fire on Arthur's seat, after the blaze broke out last night.

Arthur's Seat is an ancient extinct volcano that offers panoramic views of Scotland's capital city.

Six fire engines were sent to tackle the grass fire, which destroyed lots of plants and grasses.

Luckily, no-one has been injured by the fire but the park remains closed to people and vehicles for the time being.

This is the second fire at the Scottish landmark in the last three months.

Jon Henderson, from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, says it's too early to know what the cause of the fire was.

He added that it might take a "couple of days" to "tackle it and dampen out hotspots".
